Virginia native JabbaJaw™ originally began writing poetry and playing drums at 5 yrs old and has evolved into an avid producer, emcee, DJ, beatmaker, songwriter and successful businessman. Drawing from the old school and when hip hop was in its infancy, JabbaJaw immediately gravitated to the so-called fad of the time and has continued to be influenced from all musical genres to create original and head nodding tracks with an intense focus on lyrics and dope beats. Winning his first rap contest at age 11, JabbaJaw has always been known for his undisputable freestyle capabilities and innate ability to improvise off the top of the head over any beat whether in a party or battle situation. JabbaJaw has been affiliated with many groups including the Diss Crew, Smoke Squad, Natural Causes Productions (NCP), and the Two3 on his evolution to a solo artist and musician, JabbaJaw. While attending VA Tech, JabbaJaw was a DJ for WUVT, 90.7, the universities radio station and began performing live with the SmokeSquad at parties and venues while also DJing many bars and frat parties to gain exposure. JabbaJaw has performed with many artists including Redman, A Tribe Called Quest, the Beatnuts, WuTang Clan, RA the Rugged Man, Copywrite, BigBert, DJ Tike, ButtaBeats, Kombat, the Young Lordz, Brandon Wilson, Sammy Bravo, OUO, the Last Eighth, Zimbabwe Legit, Killa Priest, Chucky Thompson, and performed on the big stage with James Brown, Coldplay, Distillers, New Found Glory, Queens of the Stone Age and others after winning a rap contest on the Junkies Radio Show. Today, JabbaJaw is the founder and CEO of SpinWax Records and continues to create music organically and through sampling while working with many artists known and up and coming in addition to his solo projects and collaborations.
